Transparent Twitch Chat Overlay
Transparent Twitch Chat Overlay is a free, open-source Windows app that shows your Twitch chat on top of a windowed or borderless windowed game. It's built for single-monitor streamers who need to see chat while they play.
More to come
This page covers the basics. Fuller guides for setup, styling and widgets are on the way. Until then, the project wiki has detailed walkthroughs.
Install
- Download the latest release from the Releases page. The Setup installer is the easiest option, and it installs the required WebView2 runtime for you. A portable zip is also available.
- The first time you launch it, Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" message. Click More info, then Run anyway. You only need to do this once.
First-time setup
Open the settings and enter your Twitch channel name. You can open settings in any of these ways:
- Click the button in the top-left corner.
- Right-click the thin black border at the top.
- Right-click the app's icon in the taskbar.
Moving and resizing
- Move: drag the thin black border at the top.
- Resize: drag the grip in the bottom-right corner.
- Hide the borders: click the [o] button in the top-right, or right-click the taskbar icon.
Widgets and extras
Alerts for subs, follows and redemptions, a viewer count, combined Twitch and YouTube chat, and other widgets are covered in the wiki.
